What is the difference between polyurethane paint and acrylic paint?

What is the difference between polyurethane paint and acrylic paint?

Polyurethane paint includes two-component and one-component, of which two-component applications are more common. Two-component polyurethane paint is divided into indoor polyurethane paint and outdoor acrylic polyurethane paint. It relies on the crosslinking and curing reaction of the main agent and the curing agent to form a paint film. It is mainly used for the protection of steel structures, machinery, equipment, instruments, and vehicles decoration. In addition, there are special polyurethane paints for furniture and woodware. Its production formula is different from that of metal paints, and its performance is different.

Acrylic paint is a one-component paint with good outdoor weather resistance. The thinner in the paint film evaporates and dries into a film with a good gloss. It is mainly used for surface decoration of machinery, equipment and instruments, and is suitable for general protective coatings. The performance is worse than polyurethane paint.
