Ⅰ. The characteristics of epoxy zinc rich primer

Epoxy zinc rich primer is a general anti-rust primer commonly used in industrial anti-corrosive paints systems. Because it dries quickly, has strong adhesion, and has excellent physical and mechanical properties and strong cathodic protection.

Ⅱ. What should we pay attention to in the construction of epoxy zinc rich primer?

1. Substrate preparation: it is necessary to remove oil stains and sundries from the substrate, and make the substrate roughness reach Sa 2.5 level.

2. When the temperature of the substrate is lower than 10 degrees, it is necessary to use a winter curing agent or add a curing agent accelerator, and it is not suitable for construction if it is lower than 5 degrees.

3. Spraying, brushing or roller coating can be used for the construction method. Generally, thinner is added to adjust the viscosity of the paint during construction (The solid content of the paint produced by some small factories does not meet the standard, and the paint itself is relatively thin which is no need to add thinner. So it is not recommended to purchase this kind of paint produced by a small factory). Take the zinc rich primer produced by our company as an example. Add about 5%-10% thinner for spraying, and about 0%-5% thinner for brushing or roller coating.

4. When the temperature of the substrate is too high, spraying method must be used, but the temperature should not be higher than 40 degrees.

Epoxy paint is exposed to the air for a long time, and zinc salt will appear on the surface of the paint film.
